Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) is an autonomous board of the Government of Maharashtra, established under Maharashtra Act No. XXXVIII of 1997.The mandate given through Act is to regulate diploma-level technical education in the state of Maharashtra. Over the years, MSBTE has developed a system for curriculum design, faculty and student development, industry collaborations, academic monitoring, and evaluation. In today's global and digital era, technical education is the foundation for careers across diverse sectors. MSBTE continuously updates its curricula to meet industry demands and enhance student employability.Through Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), MSBTE aims to reimagine technical education to be student-centric, skill-driven, and flexible, supported by digital technologies. MSBTE's 'K Scheme' curriculum integrates knowledge with creativity, innovation, ethics, and values—preparing students to thrive in the competitive global market. MSBTE has forged strong partnerships with leading industries, offering faculty training, industrial exposure for students, and experiential learning through project competitions, technical quizzes, and entrepreneurship programs. MSBTE has established Skill Development Centres, Multipurpose Computer Centres, and Centres of Excellence in areas like AI, Robotics, IoT, and 3D printing.This empowers students with future-ready skills from day one. Beyond academics, MSBTE is committed to inclusivity and lifelong learning. MSBTE offers scholarships for meritorious and needy students, undertakes outreach aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and promotes awareness on emerging themes such as AI, Blockchain, Electric Vehicles, Green Mobility, Drone Technology, etc. Initiatives like financial literacy modules, online upskilling, and collaborations ensures students grow into responsible and industry-ready professionals.
